CHARCUTERIE TREE BUILDING TIPS & DECOR IDEAS

We hope you're enjoying your Charcuterie Tree kit! These tips will help you create a structurally-sound, beautiful, and delicious piece of Edible Architecture.

Note: Charcuterie Trees should not be left out for long periods of time due to the perishable ingredients. If you don't plan to eat your tree after building, place it in the refrigerator to be enjoyed later.

  • Insert Pointy End

When inserting your toothpicks, be sure to insert the pointy end into cone, not the flat end.

  • Insert at 45°

When you insert your toothpicks, ensure they are at an approximate 45° angle. This will allow all of the toothpicks to to enter the interior of the cone.

  • Adding Ingredients

When you add your Ingredients, be sure they touch the cone slightly, with blunt end of the toothpick sticking out.

  • Spiral Pattern

The the classic spiral pattern, use the colorful holes to insert the corresponding ingredients.

  • Concentric Circle Pattern

By using several of the extra holes, you can also create a concentric circle pattern instead of the spiral.

  • Free-Style Design

If you want to create your own design, there are several "extra" holes on the base that you can use to add the ingredient of your choice.

  • How to cut the cheese 🤭

The instructions on the back of the box tell you to cut the cheese into 12 cubes. Another option is to instead cut the cheese into 10 rectangular shapes; this results in a slightly fuller looking tree. Both options work!

  • Um, why did I receive a piping bag?

Oops! Some of our CharcuTree kits mistakenly got packed with a piping bag. You don't need it, but maybe use it as a cover to store the tree in the fridge?!

  • My dog ate the instructions!

Don't fret, Fido! You can download the instructions here.

  • Add Herbs

Fill in gaps and make your tree look more full with fresh herbs like rosemary, thyme, or sage.

  • Cherry Tomatoes

Add a few cherry tomatoes for festive pops of red and freshness.

  • Grated Parmesan

When your tree is complete, sprinkle it with grated Parmesan for a dusting of snow.
